I am not one to go wild about various singers or other entertainers, so imagine my surprise when one evening while watching a tv show, my heart strings were strung - by an incredibly gifted young man who seemed to be blinking because of the hot lights. I was enchanted by this young man and his ability to draw me into his realm, the realm of entertainment.
I am a staunch, or was, Canadian Idol fan and I hated it that they took a so called years hiatis and brought in So You Think You Can Dance Canada = aghh no thanks. BRING back the music. Ok I side tracked here a bit. BECAUSE Canadian Idol took a break, I wasn't going to get involved in any more shows just to have them canceled out from under my feet.
One day at spark people.com - that's my health and wellness site, I talked with a team mate about American Idol and how she was voting for several of the idols. SO I tuned in and that was all she wrote - I fell head over heals instantly into a fan of James Durbin - and I can't even tell you what song he was singing, just that he got me good and the rest will be history.
I began looking for anything James Durbin, looking at You tube and of course tuning into the program to see just one more glimp of the young man that got my old ticker ticking again.. well ok its been ticking all along but with James incredible voice and presence, its ticking a whole lotta different.
Like all of his fans, I was disappointed the night he was iliminated, but I could well understand why. It had nothing to do with his talent - he is talent beyond. It had to do with a bunch of fat cat beurocates at FOX net work who no doubt were told by their fat cat beurocat lawyers that this guy can't win, it will cost too much money - why? Because none of them took the time to research what makes this guy bigger then life. I am purely speculating at this point, so lets face it I could be as wrong as a purple day... so because some fat cat beurocat could not allow James to be the true american idol that he is, his phone number was switched and another idol got his votes, again purely speculating but I've seen enough posts by people who were voting that night to know that this probubly happened. AND its not the first time either ...
But just so they didn't look like the corporate monster picking on a disabled person, they allowed James to have a home coming, the first in Idol history. Actually James did a lot of first this season, and to be honest, Idol needed these first more then James did. Its all about the ratings...pure and simple an James pulled them in show after show. And he is pulling them in night after night while on tour.
Now all the idols are on tour, and that incredible young man is performing his heart out night after night and do you think the big fat cat beurocat FOX next work would allow his family with him? NOOOOOOOOOOO Fox is NOT family friendly, so why are you continuing with this show? NOT me, I am done with it, FOX has no values, especially family values when they send 11 young people out on tour, 2 of them with medical conditions and does not even supply a doctor for them. Ok I am rambling now.
That being said, there are two sides to every coin, and on the flip side, if this whirlwind tour is tiring all the idols, imagine what it would do to a young 2 yr old, and his mom, so maybe Heidi and Hunter not being on tour right now with James is a blessing in disguise, as Hunter needs the stability of a permenant home, his toys, his bed, and those things that bring him comfort.
BUT there is no reason that AI can't at least arrange for Heidi and Hunter to do a weekend here and there. Do you think they will? Nope nota chance. So all you durbinators out there, get to gether, stop the fussing and get raising the funds neeeded to get Heidi to James, he is needing her so.
Someone out there get a message to James, that although he is missing his family, he needs to continue, this is life, this is the life of a rock star and one day, very soon it will all be over - and he will be home again. OH and a Little vitaminD3 about 5,000 UIC a day would help as well. Its done wonders in children who have full blown Autism.
I can't wait till James does his own thing and is free to be the entertainer he envisions himself to be, but nothing is free, so James, take advantage of this time and learn what you can from touring = from the roadies to the sound and all that stuff to ticket sales. Its a perfect time to learn. AND come to Vancouver BC Canada. We won't riot, we will party durbin style !!
But right now I am gonna go tweet american idol to get heidi at least to James for acouple of shows. I bet if we flood AI with that request, an then some they will suddenly find the funds. First time for everything, and James is our First Man ...
